Rodent Update

I haven't seen nor heard any trace of our little friends in months. After cleaning out the pantry, sealing up the little holes they might move through, and laying traps and poison in every room of the house, they seem to be leaving me alone. Don't bring your infants or pets to my house, it's not a friendly place for creatures that put random found objects into their mouth!

My newer "friends" are neighbors.

The untenanted house next to mine has a side window with the storm glass up, making a friendly protected ledge for PIGEONS. They've been nesting since February, and a couple fledglings are nearly large enough now to move out on their own. Man, are baby pigeons UGLY.

Once those little suckers move out, I'll reach over with a pole and lower that storm glass, so the next avian family will have to find a different homestead.

Glad to hear the unwanted guests have left. Last year we had a bug problem..made me loony trying to get rid of them. I would rather have mice then bugs, but actually I want neither. So I declared all out war on these critters and got rid of them. But a neighbor has a dog that occasionally comes in and one day..it walked into the kitchen and ate a trap! I was horrified..we called the vet hospital thinking this dog was going to drop dead...but thankfully, it didn't do anything that the traps are not as harmful as they say. Nevertheless, don't want that happening again.

A couple of years ago (early 90's I htink) there was a HUGE design fad where they used pigeon droppings as jewelry. You could revive that fad and make money too!

OK, that's gross. Pigeon poop jewelery? I'd rather just not have pigeons at all. Unless they're farm raised and cooked in a pie!
