Quietude
So I was like totally unable to like send anything to my blog while I was in like Sacramento. Dude.
It was a fascinating series of days, filled with wonderous refereeing and fabulous venue pizzas. Maybe my foil and epee ratings went up, which is the real reason I went out there.
The amazing part was the weather. The first day I was in the venue, a local was telling me about how hot it felt the day before. To paraphrase, "it wasn't all that hot yesterday, like 90, but it was so humid it was crazy. it was like 20 percent!" 20 percent? twenty? Geeze. it's not been below 60 percent since I came home. Right now it's 87% humidity and 80 degrees out. Ick!
